The Civil Aviation Agency (CAA) is the Latvian civil aviation authority, and for drones it handles the entire practical side: UAS operator registration, the A1/A3 and A2 remote pilot exams, geo-zone coordination and occurrence handling.
In day-to-day practice a pilot meets the CAA on two sites: the e.caa.gov.lv portal, where registration and exams take place, and the droni.caa.gov.lv guidance site with practical information on the rules in Latvia. The certificate you earn after the exam is valid across the whole EU.
