A lithium-polymer battery (LiPo) is the battery chemistry powering most drones: light and energy-dense, but chemically sensitive. LiPos age faster when stored full, hate heat and physical damage, and can enter thermal runaway.
That is why LiPos demand discipline: a storage charge whenever the pack sits idle, fireproof storage, and a visual check before every charging session. A swollen or damaged pack is neither charged nor flown.
